Highland Valley Copper

Overview

Highland Valley Copper (HVC) is located in British Columbia, Canada. Wholly-owned and operated by Teck Resources, HVC has been in production since 1962 and produces both copper and molybdenum concentrates.

Copper production in 2025 was 127,100 tonnes, with an expected increase to 115,000 to 135,000 tonnes in 2026 and 135,000-155,000 tonnes in 2027.

HVC is considered by Teck Resources as a core asset within its copper portfolio and is currently advancing the construction of Mine Life Extension (“MLE”), which will extend HVC copper production of approximately 132ktpa of copper per year until 2046.
